Description

We kept everything kids loved about the first T-Rex and pushed the hatch further. Gen 2 arrives in a green Jurassic World crate with a pink, freckled egg. Tap it and the shell starts to give; tap more and it tears open through a gel lining, so the baby dinosaur comes out glistening with its green eyes glowing.

Training works the same way as the original — clicker to call it, treat to feed it, a gentle hand to calm it — with a few new reactions mixed in. Families who already own a Gen 1 often bring a Gen 2 home as a sibling, and the two hatchlings make a loud pair on the living-room floor.

Hatching tips

Pull the activation tabs, set the egg in its straw nest and tap the top of the shell again and again. The egg responds with sounds and wobbles, and after a run of taps the shell cracks open and the baby T-Rex emerges.
