Primal Hatch T-Rex — hatch and raise your own Jurassic World dinosaur

Millions of years in the making, and it all starts with your fingertip. Tap the shell, feel it shudder, and watch a baby Jurassic World T-Rex push its snout through the membrane. What it grows into is your call.

Jurassic World T-Rex eggs

How a T-Rex hatches in our lab

Every Primal Hatch T-Rex arrives sealed inside a real cracking egg, packed in nesting straw. Nothing happens until you start tapping. The egg answers with a heartbeat, a few muffled growls, then the shell splits along hidden seams and the baby dinosaur shoves its way out through a slick of goo. Kids who have unboxed a hundred toys stop talking at this point.

Once the hatch is over, the training begins. Point the clicker, press, and the T-Rex turns its head toward you. Offer the toy meat and it feeds; pet it and it purrs; startle it and it snaps. Each interaction nudges its personality, and over time your dinosaur settles into friend or foe. With more than 100 sounds and reactions and articulated jaws and legs, the interactive toy dinosaur keeps answering long after the shell pieces are swept away.

We make two generations of the egg. Gen 1 is the original sandy shell with the gray clicker and steak accessory. Gen 2 hatches through a pink, gel-lined shell with a darker clicker and a new treat, and its eyes glow a sharper green. Both are Jurassic World T-Rex specimens recommended for ages 5 and up.

Primal Hatch T-Rex play modes

Kids can play with the Primal Hatch T-Rex in several interactive ways: call it with the trainer, feed it, pet it, startle it, or let it explore. Every reaction is part of the prehistoric adventure, and the dino toy remembers how it has been treated.

Create a friend or a predator

No two hatchlings end up the same. The experience of raising one creature for weeks lets kids create a story of their own — the gentle T-Rex that follows the trainer, or the ferocious one that roars whenever it hears it.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I got one for my 3 year olds birthday and he loved it! His older sister liked it so much I had to order her one as well because they were fighting over this dinosaur! The instructions were clear and easy to follow, the dinosaur REALLY does hatch and that was my favorite part even as an adult it was fun! It’s not loud when you’re playing with it, decent…

Grandson loves it!

Purchased this for my 4 year old grandson’s birthday. He’s been talking about it and waiting for it for a month since he picked it out. It was the first present he opened. We all thought it was fascinating, watching it hatch cracking through the shell. He hasn’t put it down since or even thought about the other gifts. The dinosaur is adorable, and quite…

Great gift for a little Dino lover !

One of the coolest toys I’ve ever purchased. Bought for my daughter who turned 3 and is very into dinosaurs at the moment. The hatching was so realistic and such a cool experience for her. I will say she got a bit startled at first when the egg started to giggle and the trex head first started poking out but I think that only speaks more to the realism of the toy.

Questions about the Jurassic World T-Rex

How do you start the Primal Hatch T-Rex hatch?

Pull the activation tabs, set the egg in its straw nest and tap the top of the shell again and again. The egg responds with sounds and wobbles, and after a run of taps the shell cracks open and the baby T-Rex emerges.

Will my T-Rex be friendly or fierce?

That depends on how you play. Feeding and petting with the clicker lean it toward a friendly companion; startling and teasing lean it toward a fierce predator. The personality keeps shifting as you play.

Is Primal Hatch Jurassic World?

Yes. Our T-Rex eggs are official Jurassic World specimens — the box, the dinosaur and the roars are all from that world.

What age is the T-Rex for?

We built it for kids aged 5 and up. Younger dinosaur fans love watching the hatch with a grown-up close by.
