Does a Primal Hatch hatching dinosaur egg toy only hatch once? It is the question we hear most at the hatching table. The answer depends on the egg: one of our specimens is built to hatch again and again, the others hatch once and then keep the interactive play going in other ways.
How a hatching dinosaur egg toy works
A classic toy dinosaur egg hatches in water over a few days and leaves a small foam figure. A Primal Hatch egg hatches in minutes, right in front of the kids. Each dinosaur egg hides an interactive creature, and the hatch is triggered by you: taps for the Jurassic World Primal Hatch T-Rex, water in the tank for the Megalodon, a DNA syringe for Hybrid Hatchers. The shell cracks on its own, so the dinosaur hatching feels real.
Hatch and raise: the Jurassic World Primal Hatch T-Rex
Millions of years in the making, the T-Rex lets kids hatch and raise their own baby dinosaur. After the egg cracks, the clicker and food accessory to train it take over. Train your dinosaur to be a loyal companion or let it grow into a fierce predator — this interactive toy dinosaur has more than 100 sounds and reactions, so the hatch is only the start.
Megalodon: hatch it again and again
The Megalodon is our rehatchable specimen. After the breakout, rinse the tank and the egg, let everything dry, fold the shark back into its shell and close it. Add water again and the whole fizzing, roaring hatch repeats. Be patient folding the shark back in — the first time takes a little practice.
Jurassic World T-Rex: one hatch, then training
The T-Rex shell cracks open once. After that, the toy becomes a trainable baby dinosaur with more than 100 sounds and reactions. The hatch is the opening scene; the clicker training is the long story.
Hybrid Hatchers: one egg, one mystery
Each Hybrid Hatchers egg is a single experiment. Once injected and hatched, the hybrid dino joins your collection — and the next egg brings a new species, with more than 10 to find.
Making the hatch last
Film the first hatch, keep the shell pieces, and save the Megalodon rehatch for friends and cousins. Store small accessories in the original box so the clicker, syringe and scanner never go missing.
